The Museum of Russian Art in Yerevan (Professor A. Ya. Abrahamyan’s collection) is the only museum in Armenia, where the works of artists from one of the most interesting periods of Russian culture, the “Silver Age” (end of the 19th century – beginning of the 20th century), are collected. Prominent philosopher Nikolay Berdyaev considered that time to be the Russian “cultural renaissance”. The museum was created in 1980, based on the personal collection of the famous doctor, professor Aram Yakov Abrahamyan. The museum was opened for visitors in 1984. on November 19. Urologist, Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of the USSR State Prize, laureate of the Orders of Lenin, the October Revolution, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, an honored figure of science, an honorary citizen of Moscow, Aram Yakov Abrahamyan (1898-1990) was also a famous collector. .
