Yerevan Museum of Contemporary Art was established in 1972. By Henry Igityan, who was the director of the museum for 37 years. In the creation of the museum H. Igityan received great support from the then mayor of Yerevan G. from Hasratyan, as well as by the best Armenian artists of those years.
